The mission of St. Martin of Tours, founded in 1925 and the oldest Catholic school in Montgomery County, Maryland, is to educate children in a Christ-centered environment. Encouraging the spiritual, intellectual, and social growth of our students as well as their emotional and physical development in an atmosphere of mutual respect is of paramount importance. We seek to integrate core, traditional, and emerging skills that cultivate and complement the students’ God-given talents. At the same time, we challenge each child to become a life-long learner.

Sister Sharon's Vision
In a world where uncertainty and instability are manifested, my main mission is to instill HOPE in my students. Empowering our children to reach their full potential in a loving and nurturing environment embedded in the Gospel Values is imperative. I believe that collaboration, critical and creative thinking, and technological integration are some of essential elements that students need today to live and work successfully in the 21st Century. I firmly believe that on-going Professional Development for all teachers is essential as we strive to meet the needs of our students in the Digital Age.
