Homeroom Parent
(All-School Year Round)
The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year,
ensure parents are committed to assist with class events and be available to give specific guidance.
Maintain contact with the teacher in the event unidentified needs arise during the school year.
Volunteers needed: 1-2 parents.

Halloween Party (October 31, 2011)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up.
A father is needed to help the boys with costumes.
Volunteers needed: 4-6 parents.
Current Volunteers: Nancy Ayala, Jessica Canales, Tammy Dickson-Tate, Paola Fernan-Zegarra and Yuly Palacios
Christmas Party (December 2011)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up.
Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents.
Current Volunteers: Paola Fernan-Zegarra, Lyna Luong, Christine Pilgrim, Carla Rook, and Margie Vehemente
Valentine’s Party (February 2012)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up. Parents can also assist children with Valentines.
Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents.

Auction Basket (Beginning
January, for March Dance Auction on 03/17/12)
A class parent will coordinate and put together a class basket for the Spring auction in March.
Determine theme and coordinate class parents to donate items or money. Contact auction committee with the theme of the basket.
Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Bake Sale for Angel Fund (April 2012)
Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked goods for the monthly sale. Parents are needed to help sell baked goods during lunch hour.
Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community. Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Teacher Recognition Week (Catholic Schools' week on January 30-February 3, 2012)
Plan and coordinate treats/gifts to show the appreciation of all the parents at St. Martin’s School.
Volunteers needed: 2-3 parents.
