Homeroom Parent (All-School Year Round)

The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year.  Ensure parents are committed to assist with class events and be available to give specific guidance.  Maintain contact with the teacher in the event unidentified needs arise during the school year.  Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Halloween Party (During Halloween)

Parents provide food and party supplies.  Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up.  A father is needed to help the boys with costumes.  Volunteers needed: 2-6 parents.

Current Volunteers: Alexis Zelaya, Jenny Dalgleish, Jennifer Jaskowlak, and Maritza Carnegie

 

Christmas Party (During Christmas)

Parents provide food and party supplies.  Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up.  Volunteers needed: 4 parents.

Current Volunteers: Alexis Zelaya, Marie Louis with help from Wendy Digby and Jenny Dalgleish

 

Valentine’s Party (During Valentine)

Parents provide food and party supplies.  Parents are needed to help during the party as well as set up and clean up.  Parents can also assist children with Valentines.  Volunteers needed: 4 parents.

Auction Basket (Beginning January, for March Dance Auction)

A class parent will coordinate and put together a class basket for the spring auction in March.  Determine theme and coordinate class parents to donate items or money.  Contact auction committee with the theme of the basket.  Volunteers needed: 2-5 parents.

Bake Sale for Angel Fund (April 17)

Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked goods for the monthly sale.  Parents are needed to help sell baked goods during lunch hour.  Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community.  Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Current Volunteers: Lisa/Joe Schuler and Maria De Leon

 

Recognition Week (January during Catholic Schools week)

Request donations from other First Grade parents.  Plan and coordinate treats/gifts to shor appreciation of all the parents at St. Martin’s School.  Volunteers needed: 2-3 parents.
