Homeroom Parent
(All-School Year Round)
The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific
assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year. Ensure
parents are committed to assist with class events and be available to give
specific guidance. Maintain contact with the teacher in the event unidentified
needs arise during the school year. Volunteers needed: 2 parents. Current
Volunteers: Carol Forman and Sheila Griffith
Halloween Party (During
Halloween)
Provide food & party supplies, help during the party, set
up and clean up. Father is needed to help the boys with costumes. Volunteers
needed:6 parents. Current Volunteers: Mrs. Colquit & Mrs. Snodgrass
Thanksgiving Party (During
Thanksgiving )
Parents provide simple traditional food. “Thanks” mini
prayer service. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents.

Christmas Party (During
Christmas)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Parents are needed
to help during the party as well as set up and clean up. Volunteers needed:
2-4 parents. Current Volunteers: Joe/Lisa Schuler and Rene Roach
Valentine’s Party (During
Valentine)
Provide food & party supplies. Help at the party, set up
and clean up, and also assist children with Valentines. Volunteers needed:2-4
parents. Current Volunteers: Jenny Dalgleish and Kay McClure
Mardi Gras (February)
Parents help in mask making for the class. Help with the
King’s cake and a mini parade to show off masks. Volunteers needed: 2-4
parents. Current Volunteers: Jenny Dalgleish and Dotty Medvitz
Auction Basket (Beginning
January, for March Dance Auction)
A class parent will coordinate and put together a class
basket for the spring auction in March. Determine theme and coordinate class
parents to donate items or money. Contact auction committee with the theme of
the basket. Volunteers needed: 2-5 parents. Current Volunteers: Dotty

St Patrick Party (March 17)
Help in class party –everything green. Volunteers needed:
2-4 parents. Current Volunteers: TBD
Bake Sale
for Angel Fund (February 21)
Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked
goods for the monthly sale. Parents are needed to help sell baked goods during
lunch hour. Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community.

First Communion Reception (May
3 at the School’s Gym)
Plan and coordinate a congratulatory reception for the
second grade student and their families after each mass. Coordinate with the
Religious Ed. Volunteers needed: 10-12 parents. Current Volunteers: Maria
Chavez, Dotty Medvitz, Diane Collazo, Patty Wiley and volunteers needed from
entire school.
