Homeroom Parent
(All-School Year Round)
The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific
assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year. Ensure
parents are committed to assist with class events and be available to give
specific guidance. Maintain contact with the teacher in the event unidentified
needs arise during the school year. Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Halloween Party (During Halloween)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents.
Current Volunteers: Manolita Gorres [Need at least 2 more parent volunteers.]
Christmas Party (During Christmas)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4
parents.

Valentine’s Party (During Valentine)
Parents provide food and party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents.
Current Volunteers: Debbie Sharpe and Teresa DeSouza [Need at least 1 more parent volunteer.]
Auction Basket (Beginning January, for March Dance Auction)
A class parent will coordinate and put together a class
basket for the spring auction in March. Determine theme and coordinate class
parents to donate items or money. Contact auction committee with the theme of
the basket. Volunteers needed: 2-5 parents.

Bake Sale for Angel Fund (October 15, 2009)
Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked
goods for the monthly sale. Parents are needed to help sell baked goods during
lunch hour. Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community.
Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

8th Grade Graduation Reception (June 3, 2009)
Provide food, decorations and volunteer support for 8th
grade graduation. Volunteers needed: 6-10 parents.
Current Volunteers: Manolita Gorres, Diane Moak, Ada Jimenez, Debbie Sharpe, and Maria Pena [Parent volunteers from other class are welcome.]
End of the Year BBQ (City Hall, 7 Grade only-TBD)
Parents plan, buy, prepare food, start charcoal and stay for
fun. Coordinate with Mrs. Morelli for details. Volunteers needed: 5 parents.
