Homeroom Teacher:  Mrs. Helene Redmond ()   Activity/Description/Date/Volunteers Homeroom Parent (All-School Year Round) The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year, ensure parents are committed to assist with class events, be available to give specific guidance and maintain contact with the teacher in the event previously unidentified needs arise during the school year. Volunteers needed: 1-2 parents. Current Volunteers: Carol Forman, Sheila Griffith, Melanie McMichael, Deborah Rincon   Halloween Party (October 31, 2012) Provide food & party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents. Current Volunteers: Maria Chavez, Maria Coronado   Christmas Party (December 2012) Provide food & party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents. Current Volunteers: Maria Chavez, Ana Gualteros, Ada Jimenez, Melanie McMichael   Valentine’s Party (February 2013) Provide food & party supplies. Volunteers needed: 2-4 parents. Current Volunteers: Laura Armijo, Maria Chavez, Ana Gualteros   Auction Basket (Beginning January, for Dance Auction on 03/16/13) Coordinate and put together a class basket for the spring auction in March. Determine theme and coordinate class parents to donate items or money. Contact auction committee with the theme of the basket. Volunteers needed: 2 parents. Current Volunteers: None   Bake Sale for Angel Fund (September 2012) Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked goods for the monthly sale and recruits 2 volunteers from the class to help sell baked goods during lunch hour. Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community. Volunteers needed: 2 parents. Current Volunteers: Laura Armijo, Maria Chavez   Communion Breakfast (8th Grade only on May 31, 2013, Mass is at 10:00 in the morning) Parents organize the entire event, and provide food, decorations, help in the set up and clean up. Volunteers needed: 4-6 parents. Current Volunteers: Maria Chavez, Annette Vallone, Patricia Gualteros, Karen Squires Note: Parent volunteers from other class are welcome.   Hotdog Sales Help cook and serve hot dogs during lunch 2 times per month (Tuesdays).
