Homeroom Parent (All-School Year Round)

The job of homeroom parent is to coordinate specific assignments undertaken by the class parents during the school year. Ensure parents are committed to assist with class events and be available to give specific guidance. Maintain contact with the teacher in the event unidentified needs arise during the school year. Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Halloween Party (During Halloween)

Provide food & party supplies, help during the party as well as set up and clean up. Volunteers needed: 2-6 parents.

Current Volunteers: Manolita Gorres, Elida Gomez, and Sally Nalley

 

Christmas Party (During Christmas)

Provide food & party supplies, help during the party as well as set up and clean up. Volunteers needed: 4 parents.

Current Volunteers: Manolita Gorres and Elida Gomez [Need at least one more parent volunteer.]

 

Valentine’s Party (During Valentine)

Provide food & party supplies, help during the party as well as set up and clean up. Volunteers needed: 4 parents.

Auction Basket (Beginning January, for March Dance Auction)

Coordinate and put together a class basket for the spring auction in March. Determine theme and coordinate class parents to donate items or money. Contact auction committee with the theme of the basket. Volunteers needed: 2-5 parents.

Bake Sale for Angel Fund (September 24, 2009)

Homeroom parent reminds the class parents to provide baked goods for the monthly sale. Parents are needed to help sell baked goods during lunch hour. Proceeds are used to benefit families in the school community. Volunteers needed: 2 parents.

Current Volunteers: Gigi McClure [Need at least 2 more parent volunteers.]

 

Communion Breakfast (8th Grade only May 28, 2009, Mass is at 10:00 in the morning)

Parents organize the entire event, and provide food, decorations, help in the set up and clean up. Volunteers needed: 5-6 parents.

Current Volunteers: Manolita Gorres, Elida Gomez, Gigi McClure, and Maria Chavez [Need more parent volunteers. Parent volunteers from other class are welcome.]

 

Hotdog Sales (Every first Thursday of the month)

Help cook and serve hot dogs during lunch every first Thursday of each month. Volunteers needed: 2-3 parents.

Current Volunteers: Aida Robles and Maria Chavez [Need at least 2 more parent volunteers]

 

Basket Bingo (TBD)

Parents organize this fundraiser to support the 8th Grade trip to Heshey Park. Volunteer needed: 10 parents.

Current Volunteers: Aida Robles [Need more parent volunteers. Paren volunteers from other class are welcome.]

 

8th Grade Video (TBD)

Parents organize this fundraiser to support the 8th Grade. Volunteer needed: 2-4 parents.

Golf Tournament (Spring 2009 – TBD)

Golf tournament fundraiser held at local golf course. Help coordinators to sell advertising, work at the tournament, publicize in local publications and Catholic Standard. Volunteers needed: 10-2 parents

Current Coordinator: Robin McMillin. More parent volunteers are needed from the entire school. A great way to help complete volunteer hours by the end of the year.
