Tuition Assistance and Financial Aid [Suggested Content]

Here at SMS, we are committed to making Catholic education accessible

Families who demonstrate financial need may qualify for tuition support from the Archdiocese of Washington (ADW) and/or St. Martin’s Parish.

Types of Assistance

  1. Archdiocese of Washington (ADW) Tuition Assistance

    1. Need-based financial aid

    2. Application processed through TADS, a third-party service

    3. Applications open in October

      1. Current families: apply by early December

      2. New families: apply by mid-February

    4. Notification typically by late April

  2. St. Martin’s Parish Tuition Assistance

    1. Uses the same TADS application submitted to ADW

    2. No separate form required

    3. Notification typically by early May

 

Note: Registration, books, hot lunch, drinks, and aftercare are not covered by financial aid

Active Parishioner Grant
Catholic families registered with an Archdiocese of Washington parish may qualify for a $1,000 grant per child for grades K–8.


To be eligible:

  • Submit a Pastoral Recommendation Form signed by your parish priest

  • Be an active parishioner who regularly attends Mass and supports the life of the parish
