Overview

Welcome to St. Martin’s Catholic School

At St. Martin’s, we create a nurturing, faith-filled environment where academic excellence meets Gospel values. We celebrate every student’s unique gifts and aim to prepare them for a future of leadership, service, and lifelong learning.

We are proud to offer a rigorous academic program that integrates faith, character development, and community into every lesson.

Academic Excellence & Innovative Learning
Our innovative curriculum and specialized technology programs empower students to develop strong tech and leadership skills. We offer enriched classes in:

  • Art & Music

  • Library

  • Technology

  • Spanish

  • Physical Education

In addition to the our classes, our modern classrooms feature:

  • Smart boards and 1:1 Chromebooks for middle school, and

  • iPads or iMacs for younger learners

As a result, our students consistently outperform national averages, setting them on a path for long-term success.

Faith & Spiritual Life
Faith is seamlessly woven into our daily routine, as students:

  • Attend weekly Mass on an assigned class day and join monthly all-school liturgies.

  • Actively participate in preparing the Liturgy, leading prayer, and engaging in daily Religion classes.

  • Embrace an active social justice program that inspires service and compassion.

Our students not only participate—they lead the way, helping to plan Mass services and bring daily faith into action.

Extracurricular & Well-Rounded Development
We offer a broad range of activities that build leadership, teamwork, and community spirit. Options include:

  • All Grades: Scouting, competitive sports, robotics, cooking, altar serving, Student Council, academic quiz bowl, and Amazing Afternoons.

  • Middle School: Additional opportunities including band, drama club, yearbook committees, and Safety Patrol.

School Life & Community Programs
Our structured school day runs from 7:55 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Additional support is available:

  • Before School: Morning supervision from 7:30 a.m. (provided by parent volunteers).

  • After-Care Program: Licensed and certified care from 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • A full academic calendar is shared each summer, with weather closures aligned with Montgomery County Public Schools.

School Uniforms
Students are required to wear the approved school uniform, which can be purchased through Flynn & O’Hara (online and in-store). Our school code for the website is MD100 - Gaithersburg MD.
