Get Involved : Volunteer at St. Martin of Tours

At SMS, we believe that strong schools are built on strong partnerships, and our parent volunteers make all the difference. Whether you have an hour a week or want to help at special events, there’s a place for you here.

Explore the opportunities below to see how you can support our students, staff, and school community. From classroom help to event planning, every contribution counts, and we’re so grateful for your time and talents!

Please note: Many volunteer roles require completion of VIRTUS Child Protection Training. Details will be provided for each opportunity, including whether training is required and who to contact to get started.

Let’s build something great together!

Volunteer Opportunities

We’re so grateful for the time, energy, and care our parent volunteers bring to SMS. Below you’ll find a list of current opportunities where your support can make a real difference.

Your presence helps build a stronger, and more connected school community!

Lunch & Recess Volunteer

Help keep recess safe and fun! Parents are invited to assist during recess hours by helping supervise students. Volunteers will connect with our Recess Coordinator Emilio, who will go over expectations and guidelines for interacting with children on campus.

If you're unable to attend a scheduled shift, please notify Emilio at least 1 day in advance so alternate arrangements can be made.

VIRTUS Training completion is required.

BINGO Night Volunteer

Support one of our most consistent fundraising efforts! BINGO Night runs every Friday from 5:00–11:00 PM, and volunteers are welcome to join for the full evening or just a few hours. Contact Michelle to sign up!

If you’re unable to attend a shift, please let Michelle know 1–2 days ahead of time so she can plan accordingly.

Ms. Villars

Spanish, PE and Homeroom Teacher

"Well as a student and even as a teacher, I LOVE how we are a small community. It makes it even better because we really get to know all the kids, more than just their name and grade, we get to know their interests and hobbies. I chose to be here to give back to the community that molded me into the person I am today. I also chose to be here to use my college education and help the future generations to come."
