The registration fee is non-refundable and will be applied toward your child’s tuition.

* Returning Families Registration opens in February. To reserve your child’s spot for the 2025–2026 school year, the registration fee must be submitted at the time of registration. Current students will have their spot held until March 24, 2025. After this date, we can no longer guarantee placement.

* New Families For newly accepted students, the registration fee is due within two weeks of acceptance to secure your child’s enrollment. If the fee is not received by the deadline, the space may be offered to another applicant.

The resource fee helps cover a portion of the costs associated with textbooks, technology, classroom materials, special events, Home & School Association dues, and other essential school operations.

This fee is charged per student and is due by July 15, 2025. The amount for the 2025–2026 school year will be announced in June 2025.

Families have several flexible options for paying tuition. Payments cover the school year from August through June and may be made in the following ways:

• Annual Payment – One full payment at the start of the school year (August).

• Semi-Annual Payments – Two equal payments, typically due in August and January.

• Quarterly Payments – Four equal payments, typically due in August, November, February, and May.

• Monthly Payments – Ten monthly payments from August through May, made by automatic debit through TADS.

A modest, one-time processing fee applies to all payment plans.

Supporting Parishioner Tuition Subsidy

Catholic families registered at a parish within the Archdiocese of Washington may be eligible for the Supporting Parishioner Tuition Subsidy.

For the current school year, the Active Parishioner Grant provides $1,000 per student in Kindergarten through 8th grade, reducing the per-student tuition to $9,600.

To qualify, families must submit a Pastoral Recommendation Form completed by their parish pastor. This form verifies that the family:

• Is registered at a Catholic parish within the Archdiocese of Washington

• Actively supports the parish through regular offertory giving

• Attends Mass consistently on Sundays and Holy Days

• Participates in the life of the parish community

If parish registration cannot be verified, the Standard Tuition Rate will apply.

Families may qualify for a Sibling Discount if two or more children are enrolled at St. Martin’s in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Please note that Pre-Kindergarten students are not included when determining eligibility for this discount.

This is a need-based program which families must apply for each year through TADS and demonstrate that they qualify to receive tuition assistance from the Archdiocese of Washington (ADW) or St. Martin’s Parish. See Tuition Assistance and Financial Aid under Admissions drop-down menu for further details.

• Fees such as registration, resource, catered lunch, lunch drinks or Aftercare are not covered by financial aid.

• Families usually hear about their request for assistance from the ADW by the end of April and from St. Martin’s in May.

At St. Martin’s, all families are asked to contribute volunteer service hours each year. These hours help strengthen our school community, enrich student life, and keep tuition costs manageable.

• Two-Parent Families (regardless of whether both parents live in the same household): 60 hours per year

• One-Parent Families (only if the second parent is deceased or lives outside the area): 30 hours per year

• First-Year Families (during their first year at St. Martin’s): 30 hours

If a family does not complete their required hours by the end of the school year, they will be billed $15 per unfulfilled hour.

Each family must sign both a Registration and Tuition Agreement as part of the annual enrollment process. This is a legal obligation for a family to pay tuition.

• Withdrawal from school: The school must be notified by May 27, 2023, if a child is not returning for the 2023-2024 school year. If the school is not notified, the 1st quarter (25%) tuition for the 2023-2024 school year will be billed and considered due.

• Withdrawal from school after August 4, 2023: If a student is enrolled for the 2023-2024 school year, but withdraws after August 4 2023, that student’s tuition is due in full.

• Extenuating Circumstances Policy: If a family experiences an extenuating circumstance beyond the family’s control, such as deployment, job loss, etc., that would require them to withdraw their child(ren) from the school, they may be eligible for relief from their financial commitment. The family will write a letter to the Pastor and the Principal, which will then be reviewed for approval.
